Yeah I like the extra track and the originally intended track order, though it took me a while to get used to it. I have a bunch of white whales but the main two at the moment are Sing the Sorrow by AFI and Sycamore Meadows by Butch Walker.

 

Yep, I dig this record! I thought it was really awesome that it got a vinyl release. There are so many underappreciated albums I love that I wish would get the vinyl treatment but it seems highly unlikely.

 

Yeah so glad it got the vinyl treatment last year i'm in the thank you's because I pre ordered it early haha. One that turned 10 this year but has sadly never been pressed on wax is Paper Rival - Dialog. Another of my fave records of all time

Also apparently a pressing of Absolutes exists? I'd love that but the only copies I've seen are wildly expensive

And yeah Absolutes is definitely a white whale but not one i ever expect to actually own. It's funny cause at first I thought you meant Absolutes by Muse. I did get a couple of months ago Black Holes and Revelations which is probably my favorite Muse record at this point

 

I finally got around to ordering a couple gatsbys albums on vinyl.

I wonder if there's a mathematical proof that demonstrates that running in the rain makes you get more wet than just walking slightly faster.than normal

I feel like running causes more rain to hit you even if you're in the rain for less time. +splashing effect due to fm running vs just walking

I’ve used the clip of them performing the experiment to test the myth in my class in order to teach scientific method.

 

They did this one twice and got different results apparently.

I think we'll need to do our own experiment

 

The key is to perform each trial about 3 times and take an average measurement of the difference in the weight of coveralls before and after performing the experiment. Repeat 3 more trials, but run rather than walk. Be sure to control other variables to keep them constant as to not have other factors influencing the outcome, such as pace, velocity of the rain, the path you follow, etc.

Well, I just got a call over the radio that there was a guest concern regarding the policy and right as I was gonna reluctantly radio in to take care of it one of the new managers in training called saying she’d get it. I meet up with her a bit later and ask how it went she said the dude straight up had a backpack full of cash, claiming it was 25k and that he did not wanna leave it in his car. She looked inside and it really was just stacked with cash. He was like, “I’ll give you $100 if you let me in” and she said no and then he was like, “I’ll give you $1k.” And she still said no! I mean, she 100% did the right thing but I wish I got the call cause I 1000% would have let him in for 1k
