Not joking, you could probably take this up with HR. They should finish it earlier, simple as that. Regardless of whether or not they’ve done it forever, it’s not okay. They probably just haven’t had anyone seriously complain about it so now it’s just accepted.

 

And they just sent out the schedule. I work tomorrow from 6pm to 2am

When I started at Cinemark there were some patterns that the staff were just used to and I was just like uhhhhh no this isn’t ok and spoke with the GM and got some things adjusted. Sometimes it just takes you talking to the GM because even they aren’t aware of what’s going on

Corporate has been introducing a ton of new policies that are ridiculously stupid. We got rid of having one long line and people just line up at individual registers now. You can’t trust big groups of people to understand that concept and it’s always a mess. Plus whenever we have a long line at our own register we can’t do anything. Have to go on your lunch break? Too bad. You have a line.

And the other day they said we have to line up all the condiment packets straight and with the logo facing upward. Even though the second a customer grabs one they’ll fuck it up.

 

I mean, if you have a show then you should definitely make a request to have that date off like two weeks prior. But you should still be able to make more minor plans for your weekend. Especially as a student
