@Dog with a Blog the most interesting thing going forward now with his music to me is this:

pre crow era, his music wasnt exactly "happy"... i wouldnt say it was flat out depressing, but def not "happy". and he has said of pre crow era music that "singing and writing about emptiness was cool until i actually realized what emptiness was" (paraphrasing but w/e)...

.. so part of me thinks "okay he is done with the crow era songs"... but then i also think "okay he is done with literally every other style he has done"

Yeah. Like, his older stuff I’d say is very existential. No idea what’s next, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we just see a new era of Phil Elverum. I can’t imagine him going back to pre-ACLAM style. I could be wrong though, there’s no way to know for sure

I also dont see him just stopping music. someone who has put out that many albums wont just stop. it becomes way too much of "who you are". (at least i hope lol)



i might buy the Clear Moon / Ocean Roar gatefold vinyl he has on his store right now to celebrate all of this. I already have Clear Moon but its my favorite Mount Eerie album, and i dont have Ocean Roar so i can just count it as buying Ocean Roar... when really i just want a gatefold Clear Moon.
