@Kevo went to great lengths both in September on chorus and in October on Facebook to let everybody know that the new Foxing album is just “ok” [narrator: it’s not just “ok”]

 

It finally clicked with me, and I have stated many times before I like trolling @teebs41 . Alfm teebs

Unbeknown to @Kevo the scandal council has been keeping tabs of his last.fm activity.

Three important dates of note:

6/25/18 - registered last.fm account
8/10/18 - foxing’s “nearer my god” release
10/9/18 - his FB post stating that he thinks the album is just “OK”

You will see in the screenshots below that those statements were made prior to a complete listening of the album.

 

this one personally stings me badly... ouch

 

Sister Cities is incredible and I'm so glad TWY moved away from pop-punk

 

He continues to say that the album wasn’t for him (November 28) and that it was the year’s most disappointing release (December 6)...

 

Underoath and Thrice both put out not great albums this year, Foxing is nowhere even remotely close to most disappointing

 

...but it makes the year end list???

 

again, Oh lord.

 

When questioned on this, he claimed that it’d grown on him.

This is on December 10.

Please recall that on November 28 it wasn’t “for him”

 

Brian Fallon going from top 10 to below an album that he said wasn't for him and was most disappointing of the year is also wild to me

 

No play counts between 11/28 and 12/10

Difficult for an album to grow on you without listening to it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Final Verdict: @Kevo is hereby found guilty of lies against the honorable band Foxing.

The "punishment" is a full Foxing discography run.

 

Again, very kind "punishment"

 

Before we get to the third and final act, I will say that I hold no ill will toward anyone that has ever been involved in a scandal or ever will be involved in a scandal at some point in the future. We're all human! I want this to be a community where we can all be honest with each other and feel comfortable to be ourselves.

At this point, I'd like to nominate @Larry David to take the scandal council lead in 2019. It's at times a thankless task, but I think it's for the greater good. If @Larry David accepts this nomination, I'd like to ask you all to direct any scandal tips to him in the future.

Act III: Mitskigate

 

Mitski released her new album “Be The Cowboy” on August 17 of this year.

@Kevo praised it the day of its release and had it in his top 10 prior to the end of the month.

 

He's not wrong so far- interested to see where this one goes.
