I love it when you pretend that you haven’t heard of popular mainstream bands!!

 

Yes aka the go to band for Call Of Duty and Counter Strike montages in the mid to late 00's. Then dubstep arrived.

I think I started hearing more and more numetal influences in metalcore and poppy post-hardcore bands around 2015. Music is such a weird cycle sometimes.

 

I just remembered this and I'm cringing:

Terrible. They’re a shell of the band that made Fundamental Elements and Satellite

 

Oh that's disappointing then. Firing Jason Truby to reintroduce Marcos Curiel was their worst decision... they should have let Jason in the band and go on with two guitarists/songwriters. I haven't liked anything they've done after Testify. Payable On Death and the latter will always be my favorites.

 

This one is incredible.

 

Yeah, it’s wild because they’re last good Record was with Truby. Should’ve kept going with that lineup.

I will agree that the trend of scene bands going metal/alt metal hasn't been great as a whole. Though most of the bands that did that are bands that I didnt really like even before they made that change so it doesnt really affect me.

 

So glad I’m on my last day of my second job. And I’m not caring.
