Anthony played a Deftones cover?!?!

 

@awwgereee how great was your show last night?!

 

It was phenomenal! All of their individual sets were fantastic, and it was unreal seeing them play together at the end. Ketchum, ID was the last song, but they played it without any mics at all, so the crowd sang along and it was a really cool way to end the show.

 

On a huge nostalgia kick for older UK alt rock stuff

 

This band in particular had so much potential. I haven't found anything that sounds like them since. Math rock influences, a prominent cellist, and such a good ear for melody vocally. Aficionado, some of Cursive, and Los Campesinos! come close.

Now I'm looking for another math rock band. It was a trio but the name escapes me which is annoying. You can't even search through your Lastfm library in alphabetical order anymore. How convenient.

 

I see they are different bands but as soon as I saw attack attack I had to post this video.

 

I knew they would be brought up. Next year will be the 10th anniversary of this video. Such a classic. This has aged poorly.
