Another version of We Got Love, this time with Lauryn Hill

 

Lauryn is basically doing the exact same verse huh, she didn't do anything new

I really like that artwork actually

Unfortunately I'm completely uninterested in her music besides this album so if she doesn't continue this sound I probably won't bother honestly

 

I've only ever listened to KTSE and it's great. Based on that, will check out the new album for sure

 

It makes me mad she had such a bad time recording this album, and the way it was handled. Cuz like y’all said I love the album, but she has stated how she didn’t like the way it turned out.

Shame this is getting released same day as Phoebe, but still very excited to check this out later in the day.

 

The new album is incredible

 

Is it anything like KTSE or is it more like her old sound?

 

The album is definitely all around solid, definitely enjoyable, but not a ton (if any) WOW moments. It's also way too long, but that doesn't seem like a trend that's going away anytime soon

 

Honestly I loved how condensed/fast-paced KTSE was that when I saw this was 22 tracks I was considered.

 

The length is definitely a killer here. But it all sounded solid at the very least, even if I think maybe all of KTSE is better. The songs where it diverges from the general sound had me most excited (like the Davido track). The one thing I do like with these bloated albums is that the singles I hardly paid much attention to when they were first released always end up standing out more.

And "We Got Love" is still one of the best songs I've ever heard.
