I think it’s an incredible and fascinating document of mental health. I hear a lot of my own struggles in it (not always lyrically, mostly sonically). The disjointed, haphazard qualities to it reflect a certain mental state that I am all too familiar with (at least through my lens). I think this is the first time I have publicly praised it (for obvious reasons), but both ye and ksg have been major coping tools for me the last month.

 

I feel the same.

Yeah I never expected to enjoy this nearly as much as I do, was never crazy about her past work but this is fantastic. Rose in Harlem is legit one of my favorite songs of the year (and we've also now officially heard Kanye say the word "zaddy")


As for the Wyoming projects, my probably unpopular ranking is

KSG>Ye>Daytona>KTSE>Nasir

 

I'm already changing this to swap ye in front of Daytona

It's unpopular but I don't really care for Kids See Ghosts aside from Free and Reborn, which are both amazing

I adore Daytona but....I feel the same way about ye as I did about Pablo. I remember when it dropped it “wasn’t the sonic statement his past records were”. But idk, I still listen to both and think nothing else I’m listening to sounds like this or makes me feel like this. I think Kanye paints in pretty vivid/distinct colors. Yeezus/TLOP/ye are his messiest records and I’m drawn to them.

 

For me, Daytona is a bit too straightforward and one-dimensional. It's all great but it's mostly the same pace and feel the whole time

 

man besides 3way this is one of my favorite releases of the year. her voice is incredible and grooves very seamlessly over just about this entire thing

 

So did she update the album this weekend

 

I literally just listened and it seemed the same

 

Didn’t realize how reasonably priced the merch drop for this was compared to the other Wyoming albums. Grabbed the yellow long sleeve.

Don't know if any of you saw the Hot 97 interview she did today, but mannnn she is not happy about what they did to her album.

 

Can't seem to find the song on that link.

But yeah I watched the interview earlier, I feel bad for her. It's her album and she got stripped of so much control.

 

Lol I didn't realize she was opening for him, but I have to say I believe her second tweet because if I had known I would've considered going but only for her.

I was just tossing around the idea of dropping $50 to see the tour tomorrow, mostly for her. I love Jeremih's stuff but everything I've heard is that he's trash garbage live.
