didn't realise there was a dedicated thread for this. really enjoyed but yeah I was a little bit underwhelmed with the shower scene after all the hype it's getting - rat tube was way way worse. honestly think you could cut the uni kids out of this completely and not really lose anything. weird that Jonathan and the uncle just bit it offscreen and these nothing characters got a 5-minute death scene imo still hyped for 4 if its really Sienna Goes to Hell. that brief glimpse in the dream sequence with the Virgin Mary statue and the LOTR looking orc was fucking sick
Maybe I never noticed this in 1 and 2, but is David Howard Thornton wearing contacts as Art? His eyes look extra crazy in T3 and I don't know if it's the make-up or his acting lol
I watched all three of these for the first time over the last few days and I liked them so much more than I thought I would, the makeup/gore fx are so cool (personally, the gore is so obviously over-the-top/fake looking that I don't really find it that disturbing but maybe I'm just a freak) and the Art character is amazing, the actor that plays him is absolutely incredible at physical acting, he was so hilarious and creepy at the same time A lot more in-depth lore than I was expecting too that I genuinely found pretty interesting, if not a bit underbaked (so far)... I had a blast with these and can't wait to see where it goes now
Oh man that's a hard one. "Favorite" sounds kind of morbid in this situation lol but the bedroom scene in 2 really stuck out to me with how gnarly the effects were, it might have been that one
Shoer scene in 3 or the tube in throat in 3. Or the sawing in half in 1. But bedroom scene is crazy too.
The opening sequence of 3 was I think the only time that I felt like the movie felt incredibly dark and not in a fun/goofy way, that part was genuinely bleak
Enjoyed the kills and action in this, but the pacing/decisions kind of threw it off for me. I was not a fan of the mall bombing just like I hated the mass shooting dream in the 2nd movie. The movie also lags for a bit then goes from Sienna seeing Art at the Mall, to nobody believing her to her Uncle/Jonathan dying off screen to the final battle really quick. In comparison they spent a ton of time with the cold open and the Bar scene which weren’t really impactful to the story. The 2nd movie built up the Art/Sienna face off much better imo. I’m wondering what the reason behind Jonathan barely being in the movie is. Was weird to see him not get much screen time and then die off screen without any buildup.
Really enjoying this so far, but I’m expecting to hit a wall at any moment since I also like T2 up until the mass shooting. also, not sure where this is from but this is a sick poster
