I was actually interested in finally checking them out until I saw this on IG. I have my own issues with Pitchfork, but so much about this is misguided and really rubs me the wrong way.
Gonna go to their show here tonight with a few friends, only realized the other day this is apparently their last album/last tour? they’re a band I’ve never played close attention to or know much about despite liking pretty much all of their records haha In order to enjoy my experience tonight, the Instagram post above, I pretend I do not see it
Well this band is (was?) stupid good live. Probably shouldn’t have waited this long to catch them. Was surprised to not hear anything pre-2017 in the set, but the pivot in sound that came with the back half of their career really did elicit their best material
