Yeah, covid is really bad right now. I’m surprised they haven’t tried to enforce a lockdown or something. Cilic just had to drop out earlier yesterday. They need to do something.
Yeah, looked rough to begin but it seems like she’s getting her groove back now. Hopefully she still has time to come back.
raducanu out. she really needs to figure out her coaching situation and maybe fall out of the spotlight a little bit. will murray be next? it's isner, so probably.
Kyrigos vs Tsitsipas nearly boiled over last night. Watching Tsitsipas try and smash the ball at him was quite the thing.
Might make crowds think twice before openly celebrating arrogant, indulgent, bad-tempered behaviour on the basis of it being "entertaining".
I was excited for Kyrgios run this tournament and then read this the other day and was so disappointed.
I had never watch Garin before until his last match when he came back from being down 2 sets and I was so impressed. Would like to see him win the tournament.
Love to see that Nadal can still fake injuries to steal momentum and get away with it this late in his career. edit: this aged well. but if you're injured enough to drop out of the tournament, just retire in the match and let the other guy have a shot.
I really don't think he was faking it. Serve speed was significantly down and he was having real difficulty with his backhand. He squeezed the maximum out of what he did have and Fritz didn't have the composure to exploit his weaknesses.
major tournaments should really allow lucky losers instead of walkovers in the quarters/semis/or final. makes no sense to reward kyrgios a final (where he will get demolished) anyway, can norrie pull this off? (the answer's no)
