What an idiotic policy and only encourages more discrimination against Russians. Medvedev playing and winning Wimbledon does nothing to enhance Putin's status in the world. I doubt they will, but I will hope players put up a big enough stink to have them overturn their decision.

 

I’m not entirely sure what I think on it. However, it is somewhat following other sports. Eg fifa suspending Russians teams from football.

 

The tennis association is pretty unhappy

 

After how much sportswashing via the Winter Olympics and World Cup helped solidify the Putin regime, I have a hard time saying it’s the wrong decision. It sucks for the individuals, but it’s pretty easy to understand.

haven't watched one second of the french open, but let's go gauff.

wouldn't mind a ruud win, but it seems extremely unlikely. the quarterfinals should've been the finals on the mens.

WEAK ERA

 

Only competitive in parts. Federer could and should have been 2-1 up in sets in 2011 and there have been a few times someone has taken a set off him in those finals but even then the other sets tend to be a procession. It's too easy for him.

 

Decent opening day to Wimbledon. Good win for Raducanu against a very solid grass court player. Glad Murray got the job done. Alcaraz just about getting over the line - still got some improvement to make on grass.

 

Just back from having centre court seats today. Great time.

Lucky enough to have been around 7 times over past 10 years to Wimbledon, from first days to finals. Whilst I appreciate how fortunate I am to have gone so many times. Still not seen Rafa or Federer in a match. Always Murray / Djokovic. I think I’m going to try and go to some tournaments next summer to hopefully see them.

 

I considered camping out in the queue on Sunday but decided against it. Still might tomorrow but not sure.

I saw Rafa on Court 1 about five years ago. Have never seen the other three.
