Roger making too many errors, Joker looking great again, think this one’s finished
Endless errors, endless
Every roger backhand is so stressful. Huge break
This is never gonna end
As tense a 5th set I've seen in awhile
Close this oooout
This is what it's all about. That's why they're the best...djokovic no sweat with 2 champ points
Good god lol
If they hadn't capped the 5th set at 12 games before the tiebreak this could be trouble lol
If djokovic wins he'll probably yell retire biiiitch
Oh they do cap it? Thank God hah
Errors, errors and errors
Djokovic getting shook.... but hes the best cause he can overcome it
Novak! Can we talk about how amazing tennis review technology is
Well that was a whole lot
Fuck a fifth set tiebreak.
Federer still the GOAT. Incredible what he’s doing one month shy of 38. Also incredible how great of a player Novak is. Truly blessed to be living at the same time as them, Rafa, Serena, and Venus as tennis fans. Not often you get five all time great talents in their prime together.
Hate a tiebreaker to win it
Now I wish there hadn't been a tiebreak haha.
It makes sense during the tournament for not potentially screwing up the schedule but I can't help but wish that kept going in the final
I still have PTSD from the Isner match nine years ago. Wimbledon needs to drop the bullshit and go 6-6 in the final like the others. Never want a match like this to end, but it’s truly unfair to the players and greatly increases the risk for injury.
Do you know if there's been comment from players on the Wimbledon rules? I don't remember if there were complaints after the Isner match last year either
It took like seven years for a change to be enacted from the Isner-Mahut 70-68 match so I imagine there’s a lot of backroom talk about it.
A women’s final went 8-6 in the third sometime recently (I think, been following the sport for so long the results blur) and they didn’t mind.
Yeah I just looked that up earlier and didn't realize that was all the way back in 2010.
I've got no issue with the rule change. You made the guys play an entire 6th set. Eventually you gotta do something. It's not like penalty kicks or anything...tie break is fine.
