Yes, lower tier Nolan but still one of the most entertaining movies I saw in 2020.

It’s pretentious as fuck but I still found myself watching the 4k disc multiple times over Christmas break.

It’s not as bad as I feared it might be. Significantly flawed but if you like Nolan it’s worth $6.

After trying to watch this for the fourth time I realized this movie fucking sucked. Fell asleep a few times during the first few watches and then it dawned on me. "Not understanding whats happening and no characters = not being able to follow OR care when I do follow".

Finally got this at the library so I watched it and honestly I thought this was offensively bad. Having so much of your movie’s dialogue be exposition is strike one, and it still made almost entirely no sense in spite of that. “Don’t try to understand it, feel it”. Feel what exactly? What is there to feel? The editing is so rapid fire you don’t have time to reflect on any of the visuals or feelings the movie is trying to get across. How is this any different than a Michael Bay movie?

 

Yeah, this was senseless action with no emotional investment in characters whatsoever. Some cool visuals I guess, but I could care less about the plot since it was so confusing and contrived.

 

This is easily his worst movie. My god what a giant waste of time.
