If not sarcastic above - Ben Mekler routinely uses the fact that he has a check mark to write ridiculous, obviously fake reviews when the social media impressions deluge begins, to basically expose the laziness of those round up articles. They’re usually hilarious. Context: https://twitter.com/i/events/1064785649817931776 https://twitter.com/i/events/1065107539036057600
Yeah, Ben Mekler is a basically a critic troll. No one who wants to see Tenet cares about the % on RT anyway so it’s whatever.
I also can’t believe it’s true that characters refer to each other as “protagonist” and “antagonist” with a straight face throughout the film.
I’ve seen people describe this as Nolan going full Hideo Kojima and that can either make or break the movie for you
After Death Stranding I’m convinced Kojima is actually an absolute fucking idiot so that’s not a promising comparison for me.
Pretty common in sci-fi/comics. Better than the "unnamed" trope, or Hero. Wouldn't call it pretentious.
"antagonist" is definitely not common and is pretentious. it's more understandable for "protagonist" but both is pretty lame lol.
Picked up a ticket for this with Regal Unlimited after doing a theater test-run today. Absolute ghost town. May re-assess if it gets busier, but if I’m one of four people in the theater, I have no problem masking up. Way safer than the grocery store full of maskless morons.
Yeah I got a ticket for 9/1. The theater had huge spaces blocked out in the Fandango app where people were not allowed to buy seats. I’m gonna go in and see if they really stuck by that and stay if they did. I also had COVID already so I’m hoping I still have antibodies.
the debate for Nolan has been is he the smartest dumb guy or dumbest smart guy in Hollywood. Kojima fits that description as well in gaming
Saw a theory that there's some inspiration from a SATOR/ROTAS square S A T O R A R E P O T E N E T O P E R A R O T A S The square is composed of 5 latin words and is mirrored horizontally and vertically, in addition to forming palendromes diagonally Sator Square - Wikipedia
