Travis' music can actually be very moody and cinematic when he wants it to, I could actually potentially see it fitting in a Nolan film
Marcus theatres in Illinois are opening Friday so I’m sure they will show this whenever it opens. The are playing new mutants on release day
I keep thinking how I could pull off seeing this in a theater if I went on like a Tuesday morning and didn’t get near anyone or touch anything. I could just wear a hazmat suit maybe.
my local Alamo Drafthouse is opening tomorrow, and was just announced yesterday. Temptation is strong for this and New Mutants, but I'm not stupid.
The Cinemark near me has a private watch party promotion that comes out to a fairly normal ticket price per person if you get enough people in on it, so I might try to get a group together for Tenet. Would just have to figure out if I can get a good enough group without including too many friends-of-friends, like, spreading out the degrees of separation so much that it’s only marginally better than a normal showing. And, make sure it’s people I can trust, & make sure I’m confident enough in Cinemark’s system. Right now, it’s either that or a drive in theater (which, at over 30 yrs old, I don’t think I’ve actually ever done before, lol).
Dallas has started really embracing Drive-In movies, but I haven't tried it yet as it's a little pricey and is mostly older movies.
There's one not too far from me that I know some people have gone to before, that costs around the same per person as the local Cinemark. Thought about going by myself for one of their older movie showings this summer as a test run for when movie releases get going again, but just haven't felt like it yet.
Yea, if this is showing at my local drive-in, I'll go. Sure, it's not an imax experience, but they're still fun.
I haven’t been to the drive in in years but I remember being super distracted. I hate to say it but I’m tempted to see this in the theaters at a super early showing and buying seats in the last row/corner.
I had a chance to watch the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre at a drive-in but didn't do it. I still regret it.
My local cinema is opening back up just for this film. At least 20 showings in one day. Every second row blocked out, and 3 seats either side of you kept clear.
Despite consistent low infection rates (close to or than 1 percent of tests come back positive) for 2 months, NYS won’t let theaters open yet...they’re even doing gyms first which is absurd to me. Oh well. Hopefully my drive-in plays it.

my theater just opened up and this is fucked there is no safe way to watch a movie in a theater right now
Reviews are starting to trickle in - this one in particular is a little harsh: ‘Tenet’ Review: Christopher Nolan’s Long-Anticipated Time Caper Is a Humorless Disappointment Def not worth dying over - but I'll gladly follow Nolan up his own ass in a safe environment
Movie could suck for all I know, and I realize someone can hate all of his movies, whatever, but the constant humorless critique is dumb and tiresome.
