Though if you're tired of this, I can bump the Far From Home thread & start another Spider-Man debate. (I think I already talked about Star Wars this week.)
I refuse to bring such wickedness into such a pure thread. Dunno anything about these so called "people" & what they do & don't like, but I certainly do not like that dang film.
touche the way i see certain folks talk about it, you'd think it was the second-worst spidey. i've seen some good criticisms others have made, but i didn't even know as many people as they did think it was a dramatic step down from homecoming, even though i'm among the consensus that hc is superior
anyway guys, sorry i continued a spider-man argument in the thread for the latest movie film from CHRISTOPHER NOLAN, the revolutionary director of THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY, INCEPTION, and DUNKIRK
Well, that'd be a mistake... because it's actually the worst. It was funny coming back to Inception after a pretty long break, having watched ASM2 multiple times since then. A lot of similarity in what Zimmer did on those two films, even though ASM2 also had Pharrell Williams, Johnny Marr, & Junkie XL in the mix. Dang does that ASM2 score not get the credit it deserves (outside of the voices on the Electro stuff, which was a choice I don't care for). Easily the best Spidey film score outside of that dope Daniel Pemberton Spider-Verse score.
i actually did like the asm2 score, think i got it out of the library (don't judge me!) once as far as ffh being anywhere in the bottom tier, i can believe that somewhere down the line a wave will break and THAT'S what people will mostly agree on. i mean, there's already more and more of a resurgence of others saying SM3 is Not That Bad so who knows
Ben Mekler is great. Every time I think people will catch on, a new review tweet of his makes into a "First Reactions" article.
There are things I hate about the internet’s memory, but the way it allows him to keep this up is certainly a beautiful silver lining.
I'm sorry Chris but take it up with the Trump administration. Theaters are going to need a bailout to survive this (not Tenet) - as there is no way it will be safe for Americans to go to a movie theater any time soon
I get his sentiment but it seems like he's really putting a lot of unearned faith that "when they're allowed to open and say they're ready" means they'll actually do so when it's safe. Like, that's trust no corporation has earned.
I got into a heated argument about the virus with my brother on the 4th, which started with him saying if Tenet were in theaters today, he'd go see it.
