The whole idea of there not being chairs or anyone being allowed to sit is completely asinine and insane considering how completely fucked the film industry’s shooting schedule is already. Most days are going to wind up being somewhere around 20 hours. If you’re telling me you’re not going to allow anyone to sit down for that long five or six days a week (if you’re lucky) for several months straight, that’s completely inhumane. And if it’s true it’s also utterly unsurprising. Such a broken damn industry.
So they're just going to keep pushing it back forever, huh? Why can't they just make an announcement that it will be in theaters when things are safe?
don't worry in one of these two week delays the vaccine will be discovered, tested, approved and distributed to everyone and then we can watch in safety.
I truly don’t understand why this movie of all movies is the only movie WB is playing games with. Like what about Wonder Woman 1984? That was supposed to come out before Tenet and was a highly anticipated sequel to a near-universally enjoyed superhero blockbuster. And yet that movie has no release date, tentative or otherwise.
I think Tenet is the biggest movie yet to be released by far, so much that I think a lot of movie theater chains are specifically tying their opening to it. If Tenet comes out and totally bombs, then that's a pretty definitive indication that the public isn't ready to get back in a theater. I don't think Wonder Woman has that same draw
i don’t think you’re wrong. his non-batman films gross less than your average non-birds of prey DCEU films.
yeah, following TDK each original blockbuster of his made less than the previous one. prior to the pandemic i would've been shocked if this made noticeably more than dunkirk
huh. that's surprising to me. Dunkirk was absolutely packed almost every showing for the first few weeks we had it
You're not wrong. WW84 should outgross Tenet for sure. Which is kind of why I'm surprised THAT isn't the movie they're doing this with. Seems like that's the safer bet than Tenet in terms of driving crowds back to the theater.
