Yeah, the usual times for trailers are 9am, Noon and 1pm Eastern, so I'm pretty surprised this missed all of them.

The idea of it airing during Red Nose Day makes sense, and would also explain why there was a tease aired during Today. But even then, the teaser said "trailer today".

That is such a dumb tweet and reading the replies seriously reads as someone trying to “gotcha” Nolan.

 

That excerpt from the article isn't saying what these people think it does. It's actually saying that, because Nolan's payout under his contract is so large, it's putting immense pressure on WB for the movie to be a hit in order for their profit to be bigger.

Also, if this was true and Nolan only cared about his money, why would he want the movie to release in the middle of a pandemic when people would be scared of going to the theater? That'd make his payout way less.

Also also, Nolan doesn't control the release date of the film, so I don't think it's accurate to assume "Nolan isn't budging" on Tenet's release date. I think it's probably more accurate to say Nolan isn't budging the film being released in theaters first before VOD. But, again, he has no say over that either.

See, idk how anyone could look at this kind of thing and think Nolan has final say over anything to do with the rollout/release of this movie lol
