miss me with a theater this year and going to the movies is one of only like three things i enjoy doing
Yeah I usually go to the movies once a week but there’s no way I’d go see Tenet in July. That’s crazy.
I would maybe go with a drive-through movie, but I'm definitely not heading to an indoor theater anytime soon.
The potential for drive in movies is incredible these days. Especially with bluetooth capabilities in newer vehicles.
i try and save drive-in movies for movies i dont really care about or feel the need to truly pay attention to (i'm looking at you Disney/Marvel). A movie like Tenet, it's either theaters or my home
This is probably the one movie this year that I’d happily pay $30-$50 for a VOD release. Like everyone else in here, I don’t see myself being comfortable in a movie theater this summer.
The drive-thru by me closed in 1998 so it would be a real dick move if they had movies that are drive thru only because not everyone has access to them also if this goes VOD Nolan is literally going to become the Joker
This thing isn't going to VOD except as a final final final resort. Nolan is going to do everything in his power to make sure that doesn't happen. I wouldn't be surprised if he's able to force WB to delay it almost indefinitely.
Yeah there’s no way I see that happening anytime soon. I feel like it would come out in 2022 before VOD.
I think we'll likely see a growth in that part of the industry. The Drive-In should make a nice comeback.
Pattinson trying to create a fast food pasta company and then nearly blowing up his kitchen while demonstrating how to make it in that GQ article is legitimately one of the funniest things I've ever read
My one Drive In Movie experience was a double feature in the spring of 2006... the Robin Williams classic RV followed by The Benchwarmers.
Last thing I saw at a drive-in was a double feature back in ‘93 with the Super Mario Bros movie followed by the Michael J Fox classic Life With Mikey
Last movie I saw at the drive in was the first Captain America. The first I ever saw was the sixth sense when I was 10 or 11. Scared the shit out of me.
The last drive-in experience I remember having was Batman Begins and Madagascar. But I also remember going semi-regularly as a kid. That's where I saw Terminator 2: Judgement Day!
Had a drive in in my hometown until a couple years ago. It was a slam dunk date to get some Chinese takeout and go to the drive in for a double feature
