New rock opera by the greatest band in the world. Miniseries on Youtube on September 28 (hand-animated by Jack Black) and full album on November 2.
So stoked, new D material always feels like such an event and this is a perfect idea for them. Can't wait to see them live five days after the album comes out too
First episode of the series is out Song only The series basically seems like one of the skits on their albums with pictures behind it lol. There will forever be something hilarious to me about the way Jack Black says "fuck" His singing on the new song is really impressive too
I wish there were more songs, I don't remember their past albums leaning so heavily on the skits, no matter how hilarious they are lol
The skits fill in most of the story but there are some pretty important story elements (a term I use loosely with this lol) that they don't include on the album that might make some songs not make sense, which I was hoping they wouldn't do This is a fun listen but I can't see myself going back to it like their other stuff. Absolutely stoked to finally see them live for the first time next week though
I’ve seen them twice, once with a full band/elaborate stage setups and once stripped down acoustic, and yeah they are incredible live
Saw them tonight for the first time and it was so fucking fun. The first half was the entire new album all the way through including the skits and it actually made me like the album a lot more, Jack can really fucking sing. Second half was all the hits. I'm also pretty sure we got the first Wonderboy performance of the tour which was an amazing surprise
