I like it better than Love you to death after first listen. I just think stripoed down synth pop t and s isn't for me beyond enjoying a melody here and there. Been pretty generic and unremarkable after they made the decision to ditch their unique sound.
sucks that it came out on a day when it'll be ignored as hell but i'm really surprised at how fresh they made their approach to pop sound
love how glitchy the production is throughout, kinda feels like what if sainthood was a modern pop record
This is such a good point - I think their experience with how sainthood was produced laid the groundwork for something like crybaby
Hadn't been paying the singles too much mind, but this was really solid. Gonna give it a few more listens, at least.
Man, “This Ain’t Going Well” hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s been a rough couple of weeks for me mental health wise and the mix of happiness and just complete mental sadness / exhaustion on this album just sums up life right now.
Love this. Not sure if its a glitch on my end or someone fucked up but yellow plays smoking weed alone on youtube music
There's some real highs on this album. The chorus and bridge of Yellow, Faded Like a Feeling and Whatever That Was are all top notch. A few misses (Smoking Weed Alone), but the highs greatly outweigh them.
