  2. "get high, breathe underwater" is crazy. a straight-up pop tune through that sam ray filter

edit: okay that one vocal melody reminds me of "Ready" by The Starting Line

I was aware of this band in name only and am very surprised by this. For some reason I thought it was an ambient sound. Both songs are great and I’m probably gonna wear them out by the time this releases

They’ve put out some ambient records

i can't stand sam ray's personality at all but i preordered the vinyl so he must be doing something right.

  8. I'm tempted. I loved the American Pleasure Club and this is the most I've liked anything under this moniker, but some of the older shit is a little too lo-fi even for my tastes lol

New track is my least favorite of the three so far but its still pretty solid. This album is shaping up to have some decent variation on it.

  11. 3/3. I've never enjoyed a full teen suicide record (american pleasure club aside) but I'm tempted to pre-order.

This is solid. Love a good amount of this dude’s releases. Big Joyous Celebration and A Whole Fucking Lifetime are both incredible (despite being overlong), and Ricky Eat Acid’s Three Love Songs is also great. I like everything else in varying degrees, so cautiously optimistic about this next one

Alright, I am now fully fucking with the new song. With the quality of these songs I am stoked to sink into the entire 50 minute album

  14. This album is beautiful. Worth a preorder if you have the money and enjoy the singles. A really strong mix of a whole fucking lifetime of this and the mixtape they put out as American Pleasure Club after that record. More lo-fi, but just as melodic (if not more so).

Went ahead and ordered the red and teal swirl. I have loved the first 3 singles so much and I trust Aaron’s opinion (despite some questionable views on the Beatles) enough to give it a go.

If i were to guess it’s bc old fans might’ve complained about the name change, or the APC albums were streamed less, or something like that.

It’s definitely … different from everything they’ve put out before haha

that might have been why I never listened, I absolutely love "a whole fucking lifetime" and the julia brown albums. but yeah listening to one of the fucking bliss songs on bandcamp and it's certainly different
