Great episode. The Fuck You speech is a highlight of the season a show as a whole as was everything with Jamie. Loved Beard’s speech too.
There’s actually a good reason! When I lived there, I recall most front doors had self locking mechanisms. So if you shut the door behind you without your key, you’re fucked. this happened to me a lot
Speaking of doors one thing I noticed in London that bothered me greatly is that in individual restrooms the door does not unlock when you try to open the door handle from the inside, figure it out England
Nates arc has been strange and really devoid of conflict and entirely too easy. I get he did the nice kit thing for Will, but why did the team then decide they wanted him back? And still, his girlfriend is a blank slate with no development, besides nudging Nate jn the right direction every time hes at a crossroads. I also think the 16 game win streak and push towards the title is a stretch and out of nowhere and feel its unrealistic for the sport and the audience has been robbed of the excitment of such run. Still, a good, borderline great episode with some stand out moments (besides pep - what a corny exchange haha). Teds truth bomb? Hes leaving right? Cant think of anything else.
Pretty great thread outlining Ted’s character development and his relationship with his mom and what’s being set up for the finale.
it's also, even if you don't pay attention to the show you're watching, been said in this very thread and on the very page that you asked the question on lol
To be honest I had no idea who those people were either. And no I do not watch tv with my phone in hand.
Yea, I vaguely recognized Rupert's wife but not the assistant. They both showed up briefly earlier in the season, it's not too surprising people didn't recognize them.
becks has been in the show since, i believe, the pilot but yes the assistant is new-ish my only confusion, that my wife and i discussed and felt the same on, was that it seemed to imply that rupert was sleeping with that assistant but then, given that the last episode, he had a notably older assistant it would stand to reason she either quit or was fired and perhaps becks insisted on an older assistant. why have the both of them go to rebecca's together? seems odd???
It was at the top of the last page for me. My question is just under my current page for my settings.
If Zava has nothing to do with whoever Richmond faces, I’m gonna consider that a waste of a storyline/character, right next to Shandy.
Well there was a line never referenced again when they first mentioned Nate resigning that there were rumors of sexual misconduct. Iirc that's what Higgins was gonna ask his jazz group or whatever of Directors of Football about. They didn't imply either way but I could see that being Rupert's ultimate downfall
