I definitely don't think Jade is Rupert's daughter lol. I think they were just making it clear he is going to make a move on her at some point. It'll probably be what leads Nate to quit the West Ham gig.
Agreed there for sure. I think it can more or less be explained away because she sees the ~real~ Nate, but it would certainly be cool to know if they had like… anything in common other than seeing each other at the restaurant lol
When Nate’s date abandons him at taste of Athens, that’s when I noticed her character vibe shift. She sees how he’s treated by her owner and his own father, so she does “see him” in a different light.
I am a non combatant in this fight lol. I do think this show can be corny, sappy, and too twee for my tastes. I also don't think it is very funny. I still enjoy it as dumb comfort TV though. That Ted Lasso Chapo episode is gonna rule though. They never miss with their movie/TV episodes.
If it's like the Chapo Seinfeld bit I saw its literally nothing more than, "hahaha we're telling super racist jokes in a Jerry Seinfeld voice hahaha but we're progressive so it's ok"
I would rather watch the ending of the Christmas special (the most cringeworthy and cornball moment in Ted Lasso) on repeat than listen to a single ep of Chapo
Chapo can be funny when they’re taking on bullshit like the Black Rifle Coffee zombie movie. But stuff like Ted Lasso where it’s just making fun of how sincere or corny is just clown behavior.
I never listened to Chapo but the one dude was on another podcast I listen to last week and he made it almost unlistenable.
Both Felix and Matt are god damn annoying. I think the last time I listened to Chapo was 2017ish and it doesn’t look like they’ve changed at all.
Maybe it’s just my current headspace, but that’s my favorite episode of the season by far. A lot of arcs paid off, even going back to the first season.
I feel like the highs of this episode were incredibly high but the lows were incredibly low and felt like a parody (Rebecca giving a speech about the sanctity of football while Nate rediscovers his forgotten love of the violin)
I died when they did the I Think You Should Leave door thing with Sam Richardson’s character there to tell him it’s a pull door but he just kept pushing. That made me the happiest.
