Really good, though, I could really do without a “why couldn’t you tell me!?” Storyline centered around a straight dudes feelings on something that has nothing to do with them, but that’s pop culture.
Fuccckkk, such a good episode. Probably best of season so far. Still not quite buying this Nate redemption arc, but we'll see how it finishes
Yeah definitely good episode, thought it felt a little more "after school special-y" than the last episode was accused of being, but ultimately the episode was good enough for it to work and not really matter. Definitely felt like this was one of the weakest episodes for Nate's story. Also Roy as a character has had a complete redemption arc in my opinion of him. Kinda hated him the last season or so and just thought he wasn't really funny anymore but he's been great the past few episodes
Definitely more the vibe I like out of the show. Very little Keeley/Jack or Ted and his wife, more about the team.
That part would be weird to cut, and was kind of essential to the whole point of the episode. I felt it was well done, and it wasnt like Mackadoo was portrayed as a hero without fault and as the ideal way to react in that situation.
So annoying. It’s just an excuse for homophobia most of the time, just dumb that they went that route.
Good episode anyway though! I’ve really enjoyed this season so far. Don’t really like the Keeley storyline but that’s ok.
Ideally Colin should have expressed disappointment in Mckadoo when he apologized, considering his friend dropped the ball and, instead of being supportive, reacted selfishly during a vulnerable moment. I get the intent but let’s not excuse fake-ally shit in 2023.
I admire the writers for having the guts to even touch these topics (of any show it seems). Here i was feeling a nice episode...
These last two episodes have quite easily been the best two episodes of the season. Even if both had some faults.
Great episode. Agree with the above comments about Nate's redemption arc. For me it feels unearned so far? Not these he's being an outright dick anymore but is Jade the one making him kind again? Roy's been fantastic recently. Rebecca's rant to him was awesome, and so right.
