There definitely was a Janitor episode in Scrubs. Don't remember how it was but the Beard episode is so good. Obviously it doesn't match the rest of the show but it isn't meant to, it's just a fun side-step adventure sort of thing. "Harry Gill is here! Harry Gill, in this pub!"
And we did have an episode with Janitor as the narrator.. I guess the difference eis Ted Lasso doesn't do character centric episodes and even the His Story/Her Story episodes of Scrubs there were other plot lines without the narrator's.
latest episode probably my least favorite of the season. felt a bit to after school special-ish to me. haven't gave a single shit how long each episode is, enjoy it while it's here.
I don’t mind the episode itself but I did not like it or the Christmas episode airing mixed in with the rest of the season
fwiw i think this has been the best season, personally to my taste. but i can see where the criticisms are coming from for those that disagree.
Finally caught up. I’m still enjoying the season overall but I feel like I don’t give a shit about any individual storyline
Briefly skimmed all the posts from the last couple episodes and have some thoughts: Echoing a previous comment I made but my enjoyment of this show comes far more from the interactions between characters than from the plot lines. While I don’t like how much time a lot of main characters spend apart from each other, or how this season has taken starting and dropping plot lines to the extreme, I can’t say I like it significantly more or less than any other season (though I’d put s1 first). The floor is just too high and I leave every episode happy. some other thoughts, good and bad: -beard, Christmas, and this last episode are all good -beard and Henry scene was good. I agree with the previous point that beard is best as a foil to Ted, but I still thought he aced that scene -love Trent crimm this season -glad shandy is gone, but I miss Zava. For how big his ego was, he seemed to genuinely enjoy the team and I liked seeing em do stuff together. Thought there was a lot more story there to tell. -don’t understand what the heck is going on in jade’s head - hate how they’ve handled her -may be a hot take, but while the show’s gotten a lot of praise for its portrayal of Ted’s anxiety, feel like it hasn’t actually been very consequential to his arc or the show. The show’s the same if we just leave it as grief and heartache. -she’s a good addition, but when I see Jack I can only think of For All Mankind -I’d bet Barbara absolutely chills out, or at the very least warms up to Keeley more. Would be weird for the show to introduce *two* characters to keeley’s arc that are forever unlikeable
