I wonder what West Ham thought when the found out they rather than a fictional club were like the evil empire in this show
Yeah my wife turned to me after the Tim Robinson joke and was like “that made you very happy, didn’t it?” It did. Loved the relationship here between Sam and his dad as well as the awkward interaction with Rebecca. Can’t quite figure out at this point how they want me to feel about the relationship between Jack and Keeley.
Also, Will’s impression of Beard was great and I got a good laugh out of Roy’s “I hate what you’ve done to me”.
Great episode. Cried when Sam ran to his dad and hugged him. One thing bothering me - what was the point of breaking up Roy and Keeley if Roy wasn't going to end up with Phoebe's teacher teased from last season?
my take is they broke them up bc brett goldstein worked behind the scenes writing a ton of the episodes of shrinking so he got a reduced role in this show he really hasn’t done anything with anyone except the few training jamie scenes
Ah yeah this would make a lot of sense. I’ve definitely noticed he’s mostly been hanging around the edges of storylines.
Have people in here been watching The Big Door Prize at all? It's pretty good double feature on Wednesdays.
yeah bill lawrence left to create it and goldstein is the credited writer on 3 of the 10 episodes, and i'd imagine was in the writers room for the others agreed great show
The Sam storyline was easily my favorite part of this one. Really could not care less about Nate and his coming of age story. And not sure where they’re going with Jack at all.
need to check this one out, watched the first couple of episodes of Hello Tomorrow and unfortunately haven't had the urge to go back yet
Yeah, Hello Tomorrow didn't do it for me like I had hoped because I love Crudip. But Big Door Prize has been really good in a "what the fuck is happening?" kinda way. But more funny about it than Severance.
That "we can have a questionably problematic relationship because I'm as rich as people close to Epstein" joke was yiiiiikes
Too much fuller. As soon as I saw they were doubling the episode lengths I knew it was going to fall off
Hard disagree, the needles are being threaded much better this season than last. Sure, the episodes are a bit overstuffed, but they aren’t dropping things entirely like the protest from season 2.
The Sam storyline was really well done. Episode got bloated again with Keeley’s storyline. Just seems like she’s on a separate show. There’s no interaction between her and anyone else besides Rebecca.
