Finally getting around to watching the rest of this it’s very fitting hope this show really doesn’t seem like it should work on paper but somehow it’s pure optimism just cuts through all the crap in the world and it works
Finished it tonight. This show just kept going better and better. I can’t believe they actually managed to turn the guy from the NBC skits which was hilarious but had zero depth into one of the most interesting TV character out there
I watched those skits for the first time after the series, I was surprised how many jokes they reused. The only big difference is Ted is more wholesome in the show
Oh I almost always replay a sitcom after finishing it until I get sick of it lol. Didn't for Ted Lasso for some reason, but I've watched New Girl, B99, Always Sunny, Parks and Rec, The Office, and Community on a loop manyyy times haha Easy to go through them quickly under quarantine, especially one season
to each his own, I guess I could see having it on in the background, but I just don't ever really find the urge to rewatch something that soon/many times after just finishing it
Mom got a new iPad for Christmas so I have Apple TV now through family sharing, was excited to finally check this out. I love it exactly as much as I’d hoped. Not me openly weeping in the middle of the day after episode 5, nope.
Not enough love for coach Beard in this thread btw. He and Ted’s instant and pre-established years of chemistry is a huge part of why this show works.
I rewatched most of the season two days ago and I've had "Jamie Tart do doo do doo" stuck in my head since
Coach Beard is def one of my favorite characters. Something about him makes me crave his approval lol
Took the morning to give the season a second watch and I’m confident in placing this among the best TV programmes I’ve ever seen. Being fucking hilarious is all well and good, but I can’t begin to express what a treasure it is to have a show in which empathy, sincerity, and people (especially men!) learning to process their emotions in a healthy manner is so front and centre.
