The series could have been successful i think if they did some things differently. I didn’t find the main character nearly as enjoyable to be inside her head as JD. A lot of the surrounding characters were cool though. I always liked Denise in Season 8 so her kind of stepping into a bigger and more experienced role was fun.

I know it was also like this in Season 8 but I still found the lighting changes and what not so jarring when they jumped to ABC. I swear that added to my reduced enjoyment of season 9.

it gets better but it stays dated and corny, and i truly loved it when it was on

 

The first season of Scrubs and maybe parts of the second are probably the most late 90s/year 2000-01 feeling seasons, seasons 3-8 largely feel more comfortable and it finds a consistent voice. The show has its ups and downs throughout but overall stands up with good sitcoms

 

As someone who got into soccer because of Thierry Henry, this episode was an absolute revelation.

 

It certainly hasn’t aged all that well. I loved it when it was on though.

 

Unpopular opinion but beard is my least favorite character.

 

The curb stomp/moonrise kingdom joke was good.
