I love Sharon finding Ted annoying and Coach Beard getting along with Roy and not wanting to deal with Jamie most of the time and I don't think Sam and Rebecca are endgame but they both need that extra boost of confidence that they're both hot since both have kinda been living in the shadows
Another important part of this story is that the show might go well beyond three seasons if Sudeikis is on board with that. Don't know how I feel about that, as I like the idea of a three season show. But at the same time, I want this Friday night therapy session to go on forever.
Imaging how the UK press would react to a female owner of a football club having an affair with a player. Brutal. Curious to see what the show does with it, it’s the biggest wild card of the season so far. I'm okay with just three seasons. Sudeikis has kids in the States, English shows generally end when they should, and it'd be refreshing to not see something mined to death. At the same time I get it, three seasons doesn't feel like enough to keep watching Roy and Jamie.
I just don’t want to see another Office situation where Michael/Ted leaves and they just beat a dead horse for a couple more seasons. I wish shows would just know when it’s time to end. 3 seasons of Ted Lasso would be just fine for me as long as it wraps up well.
It turns out that Apple TV didn’t send out the last episode, so I didn’t see the full season. Thought it was weird that it would end on that note with Coach Beard. I also agree that this should just go three seasons. Maybe four if they feel there’s still a story to tell.
There is 0% chance the Sam/Rebecca situation doesnt end up blowing up in the team’s face but it’s hard not to be happy for the individual characters though i don’t like the pairing/find it incredibly weird.
Definitely keep in mind that episode 8 is the second bottleneck episode, only written after Apple ordered a 12 show season (but writers had only planned 10). It’s quite different, but it’s still fun.
