feel free to spoiler tag your answer, but i am curious now with context if this comment was about Nate.
It's kinda silly that the cast needs to chime in with a "don't worry guys it all adds up", coddling the audience like that at the conflict and plot ramping up like that. Wish people would stop complaining and just trust that a half-finished season has more in store for us.
This is what I keep reminding myself haha. Everyone is so used to binge-watching that only getting an episode a week is clearly driving some folks mad.
One of my weird (and ultimately useless) badges of honor is that I have never sent a single tweet (and I only had a twitter account for a fleeting 2 months like 3 years ago).
It's been a little bit since I watched the whole thing, but I think that's correct. His turn happens pretty much right out of the gate and never quite landed for me. I think the dad stuff makes a lot of sense, but, much like some of the stuff like Ted's counseling, I feel like the exploration of it got put on the backburner for more of the sugary sweet stuff this season (which I enjoy). It's not a huge problem, because they have to do what they have to do to tee up season three, which I imagine will have some kind of Ted Vs. Nate storyline. But like a few things this season, it felt a little jumbled.
the best part about forgetting to watch Ted Lasso until like tuesday or wednesday every week means i never have to wait long for another episode
Characters sharing their vulnerabilities all around this episode. I'm here for it. And: "Or a veterinarian for wild animals. I still don't get that works—what, you treat them in the woods and no one pays you?"
Yeah this episode is the funniest of the season for sure, up there with the Led Tasso ep. Some excellent character moments too.
How dare you. I am officially “shipping” it is I believe what the kids say. Really I’m just happy he’s being confident enough to go for it, and she’s being confident enough to let down her guard to something “unexpected” of someone of her status.
The sam/Rebecca thing is very weird. Also the soccer parts always look like such shit, not that it matters.
I think two things can simultaneously be true: 1. The Sam/Rebecca sub plot is a bit weird. 2. The Sam/Rebecca relationship is being done about as well as it possibly could. They have actual chemistry together, and they interact with one another in ways that still stay true to their respective characters. I just wonder what Rebecca is going to tell Keely. There’s no way Keely just lets this go without getting the details about who her mystery man ended up being.
