Late to the party, but just binged this and god damn what a show. Going back and rewatching with my wife. She’s gonna fucking love it.
FINALLY an episode with some conflict and stakes!! And the coaching team is at the center of it. Solid ep.
Thought they’d be setting up Roy to coach an opposing team next year but now I’m thinking it’s Nate. Feel like the Sam and Rebecca storyline won’t end well and could’ve been left out.
I think the ending of the episode may help change this. I fear the same thing, but I think she’ll change her mindset on it and showing her that people can change if she can change.
Man that was a solid episode. What a cliffhanger to leave us on with Ted, I wonder if something worse happened to his son than simply forgetting his lunch
I don't think so. I think it was just a trigger that underscored the importance of good dads that's been a major theme the entire season
Haven't gotten a chance to watch this show yet but seen all the discourse because it's been unavoidable. This piece by Emily VanDerWerff is pretty good though I think. https://www.vox.com/culture/22643585/ted-lasso-season-2-two-backlash This is extremely true. Almost better to have a just ok first season these days because if you start too strong the backlash will inevitably come for you.
Reminds me of the show Silicon Valley where they realize it's better to start a company at a low valuation so you have room to grow. Otherwise investors pull out or force you out when you underperform
Hi guys lol. Love this show, didn't see the thread until now. I actually haven't heard too much backlash about S2. I love it so far. Sure it can get a little saccharine but I don't mind that at all. I thought people loved this show because of its warm wholesome vibes.
I'm not in Twitter or any other socials so I don't see any backlash or dumb takes. If season 1 was a 10/10 for me season 2 might be an 8.5/10 and that's still damn good
