My google tv streamer tricked me into thinking I was only enabling Gemini on my TV and now it applied it to all of my google speakers in my apartment, dammit. I will say though that it is far more fast and responsive than Google Assistant was
How does someone take a video with a green screen background (like the stranger things “I believe” meme) and replace the background with the picture of your choice? Everything I search keeps giving me steps to record yourself with a green screen background effect on reels, but that’s not what I want. I want to download a meme video with the green screen background and replace that background with an image. I got close in Edits, but when I I cut the image out of the video so that it would have no green screen, the audio disappeared
Where the hell does the Google Pixel weather app source it's terrible data from? Lol We're supposed to get 12-18 inches of snow Sunday and Monday according to every major weather station and other apps. My Pixel weather app says 3 inches Sunday and 3 inches Monday
Probably helps that android phones and Google home devices forced it as a Google Assistant replacement
Not sure what thread this might be the most useful to post in - but about a month ago Youtube changed their search feature and it seems that you can no longer search an artist and then sort by upload date specifically? I used that feature all of the time to see the latest live videos from bands. Anyone else search youtube in that way and notice the change? and more importantly anyway to get that function back?
They took it away for a while on the browser version for sure; just checked the Apple app now and you can at least now sort by “Today”
Boy I sure love when our vendors push a Windows update that bricks multiple machines, especially during end of month activities. It's perfect timing that not at all has me on site on a Saturday undoing their damage.
So fun fact about my situation, which continues into today as new victims come to light: the patch in question is actually one from January that Microsoft decided to roll into a cumulative patch for February despite already learning that it bricks shit. This has the fun implication that we might see this issue again if they choose to keep rolling it into new patches. Incredible stuff.
Fuck Microsoft. That's all I have to say lol. Not that I use Windows, but Jesus fucking Christ, the amount of GitHub outages in the last few months is insane. We've been joking at work about how we can brag to management that our app dashboards have been healthier than Microsoft's. Just this Thursday, I couldn't run any builds or deployments in my GitHub Actions workflows until the afternoon, and you can see me bitching about another outage of theirs on the 9th just a few posts above.
Thanks for the tips on this question. I guess I should have clarified that I was talking about using youtube on the web. You can filter by date but it sorts by relevance and that's the part you can't turn off. However, I just realized a workaround for anyone who is like me (lol). If you use Raycast there is a Youtube extension that lets you search youtube not in a browser and that extension still sorts by upload date with no relevance priority. :)
Just bought a keychain magnetic Pixel watch charger that any USB C cable can plug into and I think that's brilliant. So tired of the short watch cables that come with them. I already have a USB-C extension cable in my bedroom for my original charger just so it can reach my end table from the power strip on my floor. EDIT https://a.co/d/05xiLqgQ Only 9 bucks if anyone else has one of these. Magnet isn't as strong as OEM, but whatever, beats my old Galaxy Watch 4 charger that had no magnet at all.
