Just updated and I feel like my phone is noticeably slower. Everything I do, weather it's launching my keyboard or opening an app takes an extra few milliseconds. I'm kind of pissed haha

 

I've been looking at the Mac Mini M1 myself. Might just hold off till Black Friday and see if I can snag the M2 version on sale. Those deals can be pretty sweet if you time it right.

This page fell off my Followed front page. It hows it working now? I didn't feel any slowdown on my end, but at the same time I really don't notice much new to begin with. Pretty lackluster update tbh.

 

Weirdly, totally fine now haha. Just needed a few hours after updating I guess. I even tried rebooting after my update but was still slow until later that night. Now I notice no difference from before

 

Ah. Yeah sometimes I've heard it can take some phones to take a bit to adjust. Weird, but glad it's better!

Fucking hated this phone but still gotta give some props to LG for always trying different, unique things

 

LG was definitely doing cool stuff around this time. I worked at AT&T and had a G4 as a company phone for a bit. The Flex and Flex 2 were pretty neat as well

 

My G4 was a nightmare of unregistered touches and delayed screen unlocks until it boot looped after a software update a year later then got it replaced

Then I went through 3 G5s all with broken GPS antennae. I went two years with only mobile data as a way to triangulate me lol. THE SAME YEAR POKEMON GO RELEASED ahhh

Then I got a V30 and the OLED was grainy as fuck. Went to a Galaxy S8 and S21 from there, and now with a Pixel

 

That being said, my C2 OLED TV is the shit so I haven't fully given up on LG yet haha

 

Ordered this thing for super cheap. Saw it got really good reviews, so I'm excited. Should also work with my Targus dual monitor USB-C dock I use with my work MacBook, so that's an added plus. The age doesn't bother me because I rarely use my personal laptop these days and am only getting it because my old MacBook Pro no longer gets security updates.

Haven't owned a Windows laptop in over a decade. Is Windows 11 worth upgrading to? I see some mixed reviews. Is it Vista all over again?

 

I love Windows 11 but it's not that different from 10 in every day use.

Man, I'm pissed! After waiting a week for that laptop despite prime shipping, it came with a busted fan. Sounds like a lawnmower. Otherwise in pristine condition. Might have been damaged during shipment, the box was dented slightly. Now I gotta wait for a refund from Amazon that could take 2-4 weeks after they receive it

Haha thanks, it is what it is I guess! Just can't order a new one until I get that refund after learning I need to put $300 in repairs to my car >_>

The adjustable stand is pretty amazing, and they work great with my Targus dock. Love being able to plug a single cord into my work MacBook Pro and everything just works.

 

@Jason Tate i did some poking around but haven't found anything - have you done any work on that #nowplaying shortcut you made a few years back? Lately it's been less reliable than in the past but man do i love that thing. I wonder if I have an outdated version? I can't even find the original post that it was shared from, just me mentioning in this thread a few years ago.

 

I'll have to check, I haven't used it in a bit or updated it, so it could be that the newer AM or Shortcuts don't work quite right with it.

That’s a good point. I totally wondered if it was a permissions thing but yeah it could be maybe a new Apple Music thing. Sometimes it goes and functions as normal, other times it goes to a 404 page. I checked the URL and what it’s not doing is auto populating the artist and song. I will say utilize that feature more than the album feature so maybe it’s a song thing and not an album thing? I’ll have to do some testing

So currently in the market to get a new small TV for the bedroom. We have a 32” TCL TV because we don’t watch too much tv in there. I’d like to get at least something a little better. Is it worth getting a a 4K tv that small? We use an Apple TV to do all the streaming on it combined with HomePods. Would we be better off getting a monitor instead?

Nah I wouldn't bother with 4k on anything under 42 inches tbh

 

I kind of figured that, but wanted to verify ha. My biggest issue is I can’t see jack shit, and I can’t read the text on certain things. I’m not sure if it’s because of the size of the tv, or being 720p. I feel like at least 1080 would make things a little better
