A cover to start, four newer songs, and then With Roots front to back it seems like Only disappointment was no vinyl. But they killed it.
Ok so the cover to start was actually Sour Breath by Julien Baker. Weird choice but I absolutely loved it.
Not really weird. They're actually really good friends with Baker. Plus, she used to cover their songs years ago.
Dont mean to double post, but has anyone seen any merch pics this go around. I saw the preview of the hoodie for this leg, but that's all Ive seen.
Houston doors opened at 7. '68 started at 7:45, played 6 songs. FFAK began around 8:30, played 9 songs. TDWP about 9:45 and finished around 11.
Anyone that has done VIP know what time they have been doing that? My date is tomorrow & I haven't gotten the usual VIP instruction email with that info on it
Went to the second to last date this past Saturday. Such a fun show. Crowd was giving ‘68 some love and they were very entertaining. FFAK has a great crowd with lots of moshing and a nice heavy set. TDWP set was insanity. Some good energy during the newer songs at the beginning (damn that Julian Baker cover is so good live) but as soon as ‘sassafras’ hit it felt like a nuke went off. Awesome hearing all the deep cuts from ‘roots’ I never thought I’d hear live!
mike was very funny about all the breakdowns. yeah people went the fuck off during sassafrass, it was sick
Mike said “peace be with you” so calmly right before the last breakdown of ‘wildman’ . It had me laughing.
