Swifties will straight up be like “in 2007 Taylor tweeted Ed Sheeran at 1:13 pm the word ‘angel’ which means TS7 will have a song about angels that is 1 minute and 13 seconds long at exactly 20 minutes and 7 seconds into the album.” Their reach capabilities are intense.

 

Did Taylor Swift really have an album done, or almost done, and then scrap it to make Reputation...???

She was ready to give us a "I fell in love and i'm so happy" album but then kim and kanye had to poke the bear and Home girl was.fucking.pissed. Chainsaw the wings off and spray paint over the whole thing cause shits about to get insane bitches.

and she showed us just how pissed off she was and I loved every second of it.

I get all my Taylor Swift info from my very good friend who is a super fan. and she hasn't been wrong in the, what like 12 years Taylor Swift has been on the scene. I trust my source

I'm looking forward to what the 5th song on the record is going to be like. All too well and Delicate have hit me so fucking hard...I want her to do it again.

 

Plus one reason why she would always release albums in Q4 is to maximize her chance to get nominated for Album of the Year. I think it's safe to say she doesn't care about that anymore.

 

Didn't we already kind of get the "I fell in love and am so happy" album, though? I'm referencing about half of Reputation. (Delicate, King of my Heart, Call It What You Want, etc.)

 

again, those songs were probably already to go on what should have been the "love" album

She had to use them somehow at the time...

so we are going to get part two most likely without the "go to hell Kanye" songs.

 

I think a lot of us would, but she did the damn thing and made it into something she wasn't even expecting.

 

We got an album where she was in love, but not one where she was in that stable, comfortable place for its entire conception and execution, if that makes sense?

Edit: Didn't realize we were chatting about the allegedly scrapped album. Don't mind me! Although I do still think this album will be something entirely different even if it's based on older material just because she's coming from a new place.

Well i think that's true but that by the end of it (it being the album/album cycle/concert) she kind of basically accepts that people are going to always speculate about her and basically drag her name through the mud and that it's not worth her energy. That kind of comes to a head with TIWWCHNT (press pushing her to a breaking point and sabotaging her relationship), then Call It What You Want basically doubles as her speaking to her new-ish lover in the fallout of that but also speaking to the public about labeling her relationships and stuff, and then New Years Day very much feels like a song that's her being at peace with where she is as she starts a new chapter. Then all of that combined with the concert ending with "And in the death of her reputation she felt truly alive." It all just feels like her kind of saying she's not going to let it all get to her anymore or interfere with her relationships.

And as for the happier love songs I think there is definitely a running theme of them all being "beginning of relationships" or "relationships with a catch". Getaway Car is a rebound song, King Of My Heart is a new relationship. (i.e. "and all at once"). Dancing With Our Hands Tied definitely ties in to the idea of trying to start a new relationship being hyper conscious of the tabloids around you.

It's all "love with a catch". This one will be love without the catch.

Maybe I'm thinking way too much into things. Idk
