Relistening to 1989 in full for the first time in a long time, pretty sure I need to revise my list because "This Love" is a top tier Taylor song.
Agreed. Finally someone can not be a fan/hate the new song and still be rational. Also, for all the shit the Ringer gets on here, they put out some good stuff. I'll read anything Justin Charity or Shea Serrano write.
I think The Ringer just publishes too much content, and a decent amount of it is half-assed. Justin is good, though, and Shea's stuff is usually good for a laugh at least.
100% agree on Katy Perry's "activism" being transparently self-serving and superficial. But ugh, that Dan Ozzi article was dumb. It's disappointing because i've enjoyed his writing in the past and he's occasionally pretty funny on twitter, and is clearly an intelligent person in general, but...that piece was not among his finest moments.
I like it based on the clip! Kind of sounds like something Rhianna would pass on though if I'm being honest.
Not sure about this half-rapping, but I'm enjoying the song. Feels kind of generic for Taylor though.
Holy shit, the new song should've been the lead single. Never thought I'd hear a Swift song that goes this hard. I knew a lot of people will hate it, but it's fine with me.
fans are so entitled Taylor Swift Being Booed At Her BFF's Wedding Is An Example Of Celebrity Expectations Going Too Far
Like I said earlier I can't believe the shit fans do. Think of how upset that probably made the bride. Let Taylor live her life, geez.
There were times in my youth where I felt like I should be part of a fandom because I wanted a sense of belonging over stuff I was passionate about, but none of them ever quite clicked with me. And now I'm glad because I was a wreck and didn't need a group of like-minded individuals enabling my bs lol. tho I know some ppl have positive experiences, but for me I def would have just embarrassed myself more than I already did.
I still feel bad that I don't have one artist who I can point to and say that's my favorite they really helped me and improved my life, but yeah not accepting fault in artists or film/tv/etc or being arrogant/annoying about it isn't cool
