some of it adds up, some of it doesn't. Believing it might be true has made a lot of her behavior/persona more tolerable for me hahaha.
Im going to run with my Britney conspiracy theory and say the video reminded me of elements of Hold It Against Me when Britney fought herself and destroyed her old iconic videos #Britspiracy
I feel like there is a deeper meaning to when she crashes the car, she is holding a Grammy and why she's in the bathtub full of diamonds that I'm missing? I think I caught everything else.
I said to my gf last night the new song could have been a Britney song. I guess that seems to be the general thought here too? Songs been stuck in our heads since hearing it so I guess it's working haha.
Hmmm I didn't want to stumble into this thread but here I am so here I go. I frickin' love this song. It took 3-4 listens before it clicked but now I can't stop listening to it. I think the "I don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me" part really drives home how I feel about the TS situation (meaning that I don't think she really ever did anything wrong, especially in the whole Kanye/Kim thing and I think not only has she been treated unfairly, but people were just downright nasty to her just because "she's Taylor Swift"). I actually thought Taylor would have gone in a direction like this quite some time ago. Also, the last minute or so of the music video, especially the spoken bits at the end, was pretty sweet. I think it's hilarious that the same criticisms people keep saying about the song last week are pretty much the exact quotes she references in the end. She knows exactly what she's doing.
I think the best part of this album roll out is that it reminded me I haven't listened to Red in a couple months and that album is still so damn great.
Red might be her most consistent, 22 and Everything Has Changed our better than they have any right being, although it does make me mad that she was 22 when she wrote 22 so of course that's how she felt
Red has State of Grace - i.e. the best song Swift will ever write - so that makes it by default her best album. Easy!
I mean Speak Now has Dear John and Enchanted and Last Kiss and Haunted and Sparks Fly and Long Live which are top tier Taylor songs imo like some of her absolute best but it also has some of her worst so I prefer Red. Speak now and red are both great eras tho. I miss when she was my fashion inspo back then cause now I'm like sis what are you doing
I think the only album of hers that doesn't have a top 5 song of hers for me is Fearless.. but Red has two of the five, and they're 1 and 2.
