More specifically, if in the song Could Never be Heaven, the lyrics after "God is dead" were "well said" or "whale says".

My joke, therefore, was both timely and hilarious.

 

Only in 2017 would Taylor Swift still be doing a traditional album roll out.

I've never been impressed with Katy Perry to be honest, so I expect mediocrity from her.

i see teenage dream as one of the mainstream pop accomplishments of this decade, so that's where our divide is, haha.

wasn't that entire album pretty much singles at one point? hahaha. i feel like i know pretty much every song on this album and i'm pretty sure i've never listened front to back

i think it's a better album as a whole than like, a breakaway (which literally only the huge singles were good at all). i'd also argue that in 2010 mainstream pop music hadn't taken on the album mentality that seems to have grasped the big pop artists over the last several years, yet i think teenage dream is more balanced than most at that point.

teenage dream, ET, and hummingbird heartbeat in particular are some of the best pop songs of the decade, teenage dream very likely fits into the very tip of mainstream relevant pop perfection.

 

The fact that Katy doesn't have a Grammy for teenage dream is a crime. Idk who else was nominated that year but its a fantastic pop album and a perfect pop song. One of the boys is also good imo but teenage dream was IT.

 

Not only that, but the album smelled like cotton candy. My copy still does.

 

Honestly I don't even think Katy's current album is bad. Its how she's trying so desperately hard to be a meme or viral hit or whatever that's embarrassing. Hang it up, sis. The era is over.

although teenage dream was up against the fame monster, which honestly is one of the few things i would take over it. i think that record is pretty perfect as well

 

that's pretty much what i'm worried about the new taylor album at this point.

 

I've never been a gaga fan but I'd still pick the fame monster over arcade fire (who I don't hate but lbr here). What a messy year lol

Taylor and Katy are both annoying but have some jams, but I mean most pop singers are annoying because you need that personality that craves the spotlight

 

i don't think it's come out in the music at this point at least. we'll see tonight, we're all just making random guesses at this point
