I think at this point Taylor can take pretty big risks and still sell well. She's not sending her fans gifts and acquiring their undying love for nothing!

Even if she sells badly for her, it'll prob still sell better than like 99.9% of artists ha

 

I wanna see Taylor take a risk so bad. I don't even know what a risk would look like for her. I mean the last risky thing I remember her doing was wearing black lipstick at the Met Gala and that's like, a Tuesday for most pop artists.

 

Might not have blown up but still would have been something without Taylor.

 

I'm trying to think what her riskiest single is , it might the EDM elements in I Knew You Were Trouble haha

 

She probably used common household items to record the entire album.

That really would be cool, tho.

 

Maybe she'll bring a snake into the ring with her when she wrestles.

 

Where does everyone listen from in her discography? The only record I've been able to enjoy by her is 1989, which I love

 

i think it's gonna be a concept album about her journey to become renowned snake charmer and all the emotional turmoil that goes along with that. like what happens when you don't hit the right melodic marks and the snake hisses a little girl to tears. or that time her first snake charles was charmed all the way to snake heaven and she started having suicidal thoughts about being symbolically strangled by a boa constrictor. lots of directions it could go in

Red > 1989 > Fearless >>> Speak Now >>>>>> Self Titled

 

Apparently I need to revisit Red

 

I think I sit at Red > 1989 > Speak Now > Fearless > S/T

 

I thought Shake It Off was a risk for the time. Country-soft songs to full on Pop with a rappy bridge.

 

Fearless > everything else.

Red is probably second.

 

My dream album from her would be a darker version of the 1989 sound but with the highlights of Red

 

Red and Speak Now are my favourites.

 

"All Too Well" with some ambient synth under tones.... Mmm!

 

I can't wait for the eventual stripped back rootsy/country/folk album.... someday.

Eh she tried to sell 1989 as a risk but I'll never buy it. She was already making some full pop songs at that point and people were whining about her being nominated for country awards still. I feel like she'd dabbled over so much she kinda had to embrace it. She had like 2/3 of her body in the door already so she didn't have much to lose. Maybe if the songs would have been risky but I don't think they were. Hoping she'll explore more next era
