I'm sure this has been brought up before but it always kinda weirded me out that All Too Well was track 6 off Red. I guess my like basic understanding of the "album" in typical narrow terms expects the emotional ballad type stuff to come later, not like in the first half of the album lol. Either way best song written about Jake Gyllenhaal's scarf ever

 

Red is so diverse that I can imagine it was probably pretty difficult to sequence, but imo the sequencing works really well for that album. A song like Treacherous shouldn't work at track 3, for example, but it totally does.

 

I like State of Grace when I'm listening to the full Red album, but I don't really think to put it on any kind of playlist or just seek out. Real good album song though.

From that album I always really like Holy Ground. Sneaky catchy song and the dance beat covered by a steady rock backdrop just really works for me. Definitely one of those songs where the chorus tells you exactly what to do.

 

I'd love a country album. I just don't want a rehash of the 1989 sound. Oh, and I don't want her to work with Drake either.

 

Country or not country: that is the question...

 

Maybe recording in Nashville has made her want to go back to her roots a bit, which I would definitely welcome. Or maybe some sort of Fearless/1989 country pop hybrid. That could be interesting.

 

I just want something that helps me deal with my Mid-20s anxiety.

 

I read somewhere that at least a few of the songs were probably going to be country. I'd expect a grab bag, more like Red than 1989.

 

I'll take Red part 2 any day!
