"Bad Blood" is her worst song. "Better Than Revenge" is also worse than "The Last Time." Tbh, there are probably two or three songs on Red that I like less than that one.
"Stay Stay Stay," followed by "Trouble." Both are fine, but not ones I ever seek out when I'm not listening to the album.
Speak now (the song) is not good and it's rarely brought up in discussions about her bad songs. Like more people need to discuss that.
I don't think I am as big of a fan as some in here, but Red is my favorite album of hers. My favorite song right now by her is Holy Ground.
Y'all can say what you want about "The Last Time", there are some very poignant lyrics on that track. Not my fave sonically, but I can appreciate it. I associate each of these albums pretty heavily with the point in my life where I first heard them. Red will always have my heart because it came out in the midst of my 3 year abusive relationship and I'm enough of a masochist to perversely enjoy the sucker-punch most of the tracks give me. 1989 had me at All You Had to Do Was Stay, and then Clean.
I don't think her albums as a whole make me feel any type of way aside nostalgia, but individual songs def do. I relate a lot to her downtrodden sad songs and the cynic in me enjoys her hopelessly in love ones. I never relate to her "revenge" ones tho just cause I don't think I internalize those feelings in a similar way she does.
Can we rank songs with Taylor Swift giggles? There's a lot of them right? Cause Speak Now would be my number 1.
ok well now I youtubed the song to hear the giggle and ended up on a live version where she acts out the entire song through hand gestures like she's a mime and I'm dying. Also the song is worse than I remembered. MAYBE SHE UNINVITED YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE HIDING BEHIND THE CURTAINS LIKE A STALKER, TAYLOR
Her style was super cute in the Speak Now/Red era. I whine about missing it all the time lol. edit: except her shoes. Those were always ugly.
I always forget she used to have that guitarist that looks like a From First To Last reject, I almost spit out my pumpkin beer when they focused on him. Anyways I give the song a pass when I toss the album on in the background cause it's cutesy enough on the surface, but when I'm actually listening to it the lyrics creep me out.
I always liked him just because he was a familiar face I always recognized in her band and I'd look out for him in videos haha. Like James Valentine in Maroon 5. It's the Adam Levine Show but I always recognize James and his long hair and will look for him.
