Taylor hasn't released an album since Red. It's been so long! Hope she's really taking her time to create something great. <--my brain not acknowledging this 1989 album u speak of

1989 is the only album if hers I've listened to in full a significant amount

 

Lol I don't think 1989 is that bad but it was the first album she put out that I didn't like more than the previous so I rebuke it in the name of the lord. Didn't have any staying power for me

 

in all fairness following Red is not an easy task

 

True but 1989 just didn't do much for me either way. Was super into it for like a week but it didn't leave an impression after that.

 

I spun Red on vinyl today in honor of this shitstorm. I don't think she could have followed that up and not disappointed me slightly.

 

I get it. But "All You Had to Do Was Stay", "Clean" and "Wonderland" came along just about 10 months after I left my abusive partner so the album had a huge impact on me for those 3 tracks alone. The first time I heard "Clean" I very literally cried myself to sleep.

 

I totally get it. I wish I felt as strongly about clean as everyone else does since I tend to like songs with those kind of messages but lyrically nothing on this album hit me in any way. Glad it helped you tho cause that's invaluable when going through something so hard. Hope you're doing well!

 

I like 1989 significantly more than Red tbh

 

I just saw a real awkward a video of the Jenner sisters and their friends making a music video to one of TS's songs when they were like 10-12. I made it like 5 seconds in.
