It was petty and snarky and tbh probably not that different from what I'd say if I was sick to death of getting dragged into that family's drama when they (meaning him, since the Kardashians themselves don't have to go that deep for free press) need a quick PR boost. Not saying it was a good look for Taylor, but I also can't say I don't understand.
I understand her being annoyed and upset but yikes at her feeling the need to drag Kim's autonomy into it. I don't understand that. I honestly thought it was written by some twitter stan who dislikes kim trying to be witty, not an actual pr statement oop. If someone said that about Taylor and one of her bfs she'd be rightfully upset and liking 1000 posts on tumblr about feminism. I was just surprised to see it given Taylors stance on these things in the past
You're not wrong, if that's what the intent of the statement was. And you're 100% right about how Taylor would probably react if it was the other way around. But I also think "Kim is only repeating what she has been told by Kanye West" isn't the same as her saying Kim did what she was told. I took that to mean Kim is repeating what she's heard from him - his version of what was said - as opposed to what she actually knows firsthand. I guess it didn't bother me as much because I didn't see her coming for Kim's autonomy so much as her not being a first-party witness. Doesn't mean I'm right, but that's how I initially interpreted it, which seemed fair enough.
I get that. Maybe it's cause I've seen too many shady statements by celebs before but she might as well have said "I'll pray for you." but I guess that's the beauty of shade. It's subtle enough that nobody is 100% if it was an insult lol
