"Big Boy also took the opportunity to question Kanye about his now-infamous "Famous" lyric aimed at Taylor Swift. When asked if he really talked to Swift, Kanye responded, "Yes, I told her we were going to say that. I didn't tell her— I asked her how she felt about it." However, Kanye still feels resolute in saying what he wants because he firmly believes in the expression of music. "Music is all we got. It's our only opportunity to fully express ourselves."" from complex Kanye West Recruits Gucci Mane, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Desiigner, and More for the First Track off 'Cruel Winter'
ye never says whether or not she gave the ok, just that he told her and asked her how she felt about it
very confusing situation, if video evidence exists i hope it surfaces one way or another. or like i said we need to call rick rubin
The truth is prob somewhere in the middle. I def don't fully believe either side but I'll cackle at the drama in the mean time
I really don't like the part of Taylor's statement where she says that Kim is just doing what Kanye tells her to, wtf is that about. Super inappropriate
IMO - I feel like a conversation was had where Kanye probably told her about the concept and asked what she thought. I doubt he gave her the exact line, and it's completely plausible that he paraphrased it in a way that didn't come off as belittling as it did in the final cut. I just don't see a world where Taylor would approve of herself being approved to in that way, unless the whole thing was some elaborate setup as revenge for the VMAs. I just doubt it, given that she couldn't have foreseen him writing the song or calling about it in the first place. I also feel like Kanye is the kind of guy (honestly, most guys I know are this kind of guy) who sees not being outright told "no" as acceptance. So if she didn't say "I'll sue you if you release that track or those exact words", he might hear anything else as an "okay". This is one of those times where I feel like they both think they're telling the truth because they perceived what went down so differently. But honestly, unless Kim K is trying to release that letter and that raw footage I'm over this and they need to stop drumming it back up just because Kanye has a new album cycle coming up.
did kanye and kim lie? is taylor swift the liar? who knows cruel winter coming soon in stores worldwide
It's a shame that now in order to get buzz going about your record, you decide to fight or create drama with someone.
oh i dont think its a new thing at all, artists/bands been stirring drama around album release for decades
