I remembered this moment last night lol

It was longer than two weeks.

Other than folklore and evermore, she's pretty much only a biographical writer.

Is the assumption that “but daddy I love him” is about the fans being upset she was with Matty?

Except VPNs won’t work. She’s one of the very few artists that uses the USA release as a global release.

  6. Are the Target bonus tracks out there? which one should I gettttt

lol, the billionaire will be fine, I promise.

I think a lot of younger listeners just have no experience with album leaks, so they see it as this huge violation, but that shit used to be par for the course! And frankly, leaks were awesome. I can't tell you how many albums I checked out specifically because they leaked unexpectedly and the Absolutepunk forums were positively buzzing about them. There's a different electricity to getting to hear a new album out of the blue days/weeks/months early that you do not get from the appointment listening of "hit play on Spotify on release day morning."

Edit: I got beat to it but leaving up for self Shame, also listened to the album last night and too soon to decide what I think but style wise seems to be more of what I like from her but production seemed to not stand out compared to Folklore/Evermore but again, just one listen haha

Kind of her best record since Folklore imo.

Never been a lyrics person on early listens so I can’t comment on that, but this sonic space is getting really stale to me

not sharing a link here or via DMs (because it's already been stated not to and i'm not looking to get anyone - or the site - in trouble), but someone on the Internet got their vinyl in early and shared a recording of The Manuscript. a much softer, more piano-driven song than the other bonus track that's out there, but i dig it.

Not a fan of My Boy. Sounds like a midnights b side

    Things have changed.

Should be in a slimline for maximum nostalgia.

Down Bad is catchy but sounds like a song she’s written 10000 times before. I agree that I am tired of this sonic palette

Gotta feel like this is the “last one”. Would be really shocked if the next record was a continuation of this.

There needs to be a clean break, IMO. All new collaborators, a new songwriting approach, a temporary moratorium on synths. I both like this album and feel like it's spinning its wheels in a lot of ways.
