Taylor just released four new TTPD albums (y'know, nothing new here) and like...it is what it is at this point but whoever is doing her marketing maaaaybe should have read the room, or at least held off a week or two after the Vienna situation. I think giving some time/space/etc. after such a traumatic incident occurred (even if no attack actually happened, it is still very traumatic, speaking from someone who was at Lollapalooza 2017 when the Vegas shooter had a room booked overlooking the festival) before going right back to shilling out new copies of her months old album would have been respectful.

 

They were only up for like an hour. Already off sale. You’re always late with theses posts

Sorry I don't keep up with everything she releases the minute they are released and know exactly how long they are released for? (and my post was about the optics of the release, not about the release itself for people to buy the new versions in time)

 

I mean the releases could all be automated given there only ever up for a short period of time

 

This.... makes no sense. You don't pre-schedule 4 variants to be released from 11:21pm - 12:00am, this was absolutely a day-of decision they made today

and my answer regarding both issues is a very simple “Who knows” but people have very strong opinions on both sides for both issues

It’s interesting to think about how for someone who in the past was so self conscious about their image and how they were being perceived in the public is now in their I will do whatever I want with no rucks given era, and isn’t letting any criticism e.g. the variants and blocking artists get to then at all, at least in any sort of public way. It’s just fascinating to think about after everything Taylor has gone through.
