Shocked by how much I enjoyed Father Figure but Eldest Daughter is the first one that has me worried

 

Oh man, “Eldest Daughter” is a huge miss for me. It’s starting.

“I’m not a bad bitch and this isn’t savage” is the biggest eye roll.

 

Three songs in, all the verses are kinda the same as each other but the choruses all bop pretty hard

 

Eldest Daughter is great!

Only real miss for me is Father Figure so far. Not huge on Wish List or Cancelled but I could see them growing on me, more so Cancelled. Last two tracks now

 

I like Eldest Daughter. Made me smile, fun to hear her happy - especially after TTPD

Well Ruin The Friendship wrecked me

 

“Actually Romantic” is one I’ll never come back to. This didn’t need to be made.

 

My Swiftie wife is in love with this so far.

 

“Wi$h Li$t” could have been a Rep track. I don’t hate it.

 

“Ruin the Friendship” is cool. I find a lot of present day Taylor hard to relate to personally because she’s become so larger than life. I think she’s at her best when she can strip away the celebrity and tell a very human story.

 

If Actually Romantic had some more distortion on the guitars it could have almost been kind of punky.

 

The dick bigger lyric is as bad as expected unfortunately

 

Actually Romantic feels like a very bad attempt at Olivia Rodrigo’s sound to me.

 

Yup. Felt like her attempt at an O-Rod song.

 

Maybe I just don’t need new Taylor Swift songs in my life anymore.

 

“Wood” has funny lyrics.

I like the groove in “CANCELLED!” But that’s all I like about it.

 

Im actually laughing out loud at Wood.

I’ll need more time with it, obviously, but first impressions as I get further in is that this has some high highs and really low lows.

“Wood” sure is…something.

 

I will give the album this — there are some nasty bass grooves throughout.

 

Honey is the most Lover-era sounding song I think
