Just saw some potentially insane lyrics about Charli on TikTok, this can’t be real

 

she somehow worked "my dick's bigger" into an interpolation of the chorus of George Michael's "Father Figure"

 

I mean….even though she is Taylor Swift she is not going to win any manufactured beef against Charli XCX. Charli has been around too long and is too beloved by music fans and music media.

All these lyrics work better in context. I remember being mortified when I read a bunch of Blink’s OMT lyrics ahead of listening and ended up loving the album.

 

i feel like that's always been the case with Taylor (or at least with more recent albums). she can definitely write a hook, so that makes up for some of the bad lyricism

 

I personally love the “sexy baby” line on Midnights.

Well, as someone who has never read Sympathy as an insult to anyone but maybe Charli herself, I suppose there could be more we don’t know. Dumb either way!

Wow that's pretty bad lol, Charli's lyrics on Sympathy Is A Knife are way more introspective and she puts most of it on herself even if she was talking about Taylor on it

 

It's seems more like Taylor's version of Von Dutch and like there may be more behind it than just Sympathy is a Knife.

Yeah I think Sympathy in a vacuum clearly doesn't justify this, but Taylor seems to be saying there's a lot more behind closed doors, but it really doesn't seem to come off well...
